PhD in Chemical Sciences, MSc in Biotechnology (Rosario National University, Argentina) and Post-Doc in neurochemistry (Rosario Chemistry Institute – National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina). In 2018 he was granted the Durham International Junior Research (COFUNDed between Durham University and the European Union) for a research stay at the Durham University.
In this way, this project proposes to generate a toolbox of Ser-Thr targeted probes and it use to identify and validate new drug targets in Leishmania, and the subsequent search for new chemotherapies. This approach can be extended to other classes of enzymes to provide a general resource that will underpin efficient drug discovery programmes for NTDs.
